For over five decades, Versailles has been more than just a restaurant—it’s a cultural landmark. Known as “The World’s Most Famous Cuban Restaurant,” Versailles has become a symbol of heritage, community, and pride in Miami. Following the success of its restaurant, the brand expanded into Versailles Bakery—a beloved destination where tradition meets craftsmanship, serving authentic pastries and desserts made from scratch since 1998.

Versailles approached Jastor with the goal of evolving its bakery brand for a new generation while preserving the legacy that made it iconic. Our challenge was to honor the authenticity of Cuban tradition while introducing a refreshed, scalable identity fit for expansion into new markets, including its Café Versailles airport concept.
Jastor created a brand system that celebrates nostalgia through modern design—bridging cultural memory with contemporary relevance. Every element, from logotype refinement to packaging and environmental applications, was designed to express warmth, pride, and craftsmanship.
The visual identity draws inspiration from Cuban Deco architecture and vintage patisserie charm. The color palette reflects the timeless hues of Havana’s facades and Miami’s tropical tones, balanced by clean typography and elegant proportions. Packaging and printed materials were designed to be both familiar and elevated—capturing the handmade spirit of Versailles’ products with a refined, cohesive visual language.

At the heart of the identity is a flexible logo system and a brand tone that celebrates heritage while feeling fresh and approachable. The “Famous Cuban” tagline anchors the brand in its cultural roots and global recognition, while typography and iconography bring consistency across every touchpoint—from uniforms and menus to storefronts and digital media.
